ABOUT

I am currently a Textile design student at Nottingham Trent University, and will be graduating this year. I have a passion designing for interior applications, and my final project displays my innovation as an upcoming textile designer.

My specialist area is woven textile design. Throughout my practice I aim to translate design ideas through the exploration of different weave structures with a focus on pattern, colour and tactility. My final collection seeks to exhibit the skills I have acquired over the course of my degree.

My current work is built upon three core principles:

WELL-BEING - Creating textiles that enhance and improve health and well being. My final collection is inspired by biophilic design principles aiming to make indirect connections to the natural world ultimately enhancing wellness through materiality and textile outcomes.

SUSTAINABILITY - Ensuring material sourcing is as sustainable as possible. Natural materials are used throughout to promote tactility and comfort  enhancing a sense of well being.

FUNCTIONALITY - Making sure outcomes are functional for their intended purpose and applications.
